Before enjoying my momma on mothers day, I had the pleasure of working with two beautiful brides and two AWESOME photographers:)

The first wedding was done at Pink Comb - Nancy and her ladies came to pink comb bring and early and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and Mimosas while they got their hair done. Nancy was airbrushed - she was stunning! Her photographer, and good friend of mine, Josh Lynn was oh so kind to share these images with me:)

Great hair and Make-up + an awesome photographer = AWESOME PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The second wedding of the day was the cousin of one of my favorite vendor friends, Mary from Touch of Class. I got to spend the second part of my day with Mary, Sharon Curia and Eva and her lovely girls.

Enjoy the photos, compliments of Sharon. We had a wonderful time getting ready!

And as for the weekend………. I’m off to see No Doubt with my sisters and boyfriend Steve at PNC Bank Arts Center! Tomorrow I have a wedding in Mt. Olive(Rebecca) and Sunday, Alissa in Branchburg! Can’t wait ladies. My down time this weekend will consist of relaxing and maybe spending a little time in the kitchen trying out some new recipes.Monday we are taking our Grandma to The Sands in Bethlehem and we have reservations to dine at Emerils Chop House. Can’t wait!

Have a wonderful weekend:)

As expected, the wedding of Alana and Brian Lohse was INCREDIBLE! The venue, the dancing and the bride and groom were all a dream come true.

As mentioned before, this was the FIRST wedding I have ever been in! It was surreal to me after our hair and make-up team(which was my staff at Pink Comb) packed up - I thought to myself… so this is what happens when I leave? What a day! The pictures, the dressing, the beautifying! It was a wonderful experience and to tell you the truth, I can’t wait to do it again… so can one of my best friends get engaged soon? As a sidenote, I did the bride’s hair and make-up… however i did indulge in some beauty and got all done up by my fabulous girls!

The pictures speak for themselves - so of course, here are a bunch for you to enjoy. But first, I have to compliment every single vendor who was a part of their day. Thank you for doing what you do best and for making oen of my best friend’s dreams come true! She kept saying the ENTIRE night - “THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE” Thanks to everyone who made that possible!

The newlyweds are off to their EASTERN MEDDITERRAIN CRUISE today… flying to Rome and Cruising from there throughout Italy, visiting Greece and Turkey. bon Voyage Mr. and Mrs. Lohse!

The first thing I have to do is let out a scream because its one of my BEST FRIENDS Wedding Week! I am overly excited I can barely focus! But here I go………… This weekend is going to be the best ever!

Yesterday was a blast, I got to spend the day in New York City with the Fabulous Kamila Harris where we had a Boudoir Shoot at The Thompson LES downtown, it was so awesome! The ladies were great to work with, I did the hair and make-up for the shoot, something I love to do to break up the wedding world and the salon world! it’s so fun and it’s freedom of expression - and working alongside an amazing photographer is always great.

Speaking of photographers… I am thrilled to be mentioned on the Blogs of Berit of Images by Berit and Marie of Art of Love.

Berits Blog is from one of many weddings we have done thus far in the 2009 season. This is the wedding of Amy and Albert - a beautiful couple at the Russian Tea Room in New York City. These images are exquisite - My talented ladies and I provided hair and make-up services for the beautiful bride and her ladies at a mid-town hotel room on May 23, 2009.

Marie’s blog features Janell, who was wed on May 16, 2009 in Princeton New Jersey. Rosalie and I had the opportunity to work as Josna Polana in Princeton,NJ that morning where we provided hair and make-up services to this fabulous crew.

Be sure to check out the images when you can!!

Furthermore, I will be extrememly tied up the next 5 days with Alana’s wedding. I hope to blog once more before the big day, however I will be slow in responding to email inquiries, so your patience is much appreciated. If you haven’t done so already, join the Pink Comb mailing list by emailing info@pinkcombsalon.com~~~ and find me on facebook!
(Michelle Lo Conte)

Have a gret day all!

I don’t care what anyone says… I love the 13th! I met Steve on the 13th so its one of my favorite days!!

Here are some images I received from the fabulous photographer John Arcara. Kelly was an absolute pleasure to work with and Marena and I were so happy to spend the morning with her and her girls in Spring Lake where we provided hair services to the bride and her beautiful bridal party! You would never guess that Kelly’s hair was just an inch or two past her chin with the fabulous ‘do!

Here is a lovely note from Kelly:

Hey Michelle,

I just wanted to thank you for doing an AMAZING job on our hair for the wedding.  You and your sister were great and all the girls looked fabulous!  I could not have asked for more.  Thanks so much for adding that special touch to my day!

Thanks again,

Kelly & the girls!

Enjoy the pics!

Hey Everyone! I didn’t get around to blogging yesterday because I was SO exhausted!

The weekend certainly kicked my butt - however I am happy to announce that thus far, as of June 9, 2009 I have already done 51 weddings so far this year! I will certainly exceed my 99 weddings in 2008 come December, and it’s so exciting!!

This past weekend I did THREE, yes THREE weddings on Saturday and one wedding in NYC on Sunday. Congrats to all my glowing brides Emily, Katie and Jessica (all hair and make-up) and Rena (make-up only). Its ladies like you that make my job go smoothly! I have to say I never met such calm cool and collected brides! Hope you are having fun on your honeymoons - out of this rain:)

Here are some hair shots from an ‘08 bride Rachel… she just got her pro pics to me! Beautiful hair….. enhanced with extensions:)

I also wanted to announce I am taking deposits for up until June 30, 2010 weddngs at this time. Please email me at michelleloconte@yahoo.com to inquire. And we have some new and exciting additions coming to www.pinkcombsalon.com so stay tuned!

Happy June All! Wow! I can’t believe we are halfway through the year. My baby sister turned 20 yesterday! TEAR! I cannot believe it. I cant wait to celebrate with her this weekend. We are having a family BBQ. Got to get through 4 weddings first!

Last weekend went off without a hitch - two weddings Friday and two weddings Saturday. Congrats to Haleh, Marisa, Nicola and Elizabeth. I got to see two of my photographer friends too - which was great. Hi Again to the wonderful Sharon Curia and David and Amy Lau!

The most exciting part of it all, though, was Alana’s Bachelorette Party! We had a blast and most importantly, the bride was BEYOND Surprised! We even had a guest appearance from her awesome photographer, Autumn Pittelli at the pre-party then we danced the night away! I can’t disclose all of the juicy details but I highly suggest Lucky Chengs and Naked Lunch for an awesome time! We were all matching in our cute little T-shirts which read Alana’s Last Fling Before the Ring - all were personalized in the back too! What a night! Can’t wait for the wedding …………….18 days!!!!

Enjoy these teasers:)

Remember that 23 person wedding we did back in April…. well here it is! Can you believe the hair on this pretty little thing? You can’t ask for a more GLAMOROUS  bride then this! And Hey - 23 girls - 6 am start on a Sunday. We made it out alive and know we can do it! Between the 4 of us, it took us a little under 4 hours to get these gals glammed up! Enjoy the pics and Congrats to the beautiful bride, Michelle!!

Here is a lovely letter from the bride:(double Michelle’s) :)
